Geri Grossman

In this workshop, Geri Grossman builds on her Philadelphia, 2005 featured
presentation on Succeeding With Emotional Intelligence. Through further,
in-depth application, Deans of Fine Arts Colleges will develop Emotional
Intelligence strategies as well as practice Emotional Intelligence skills through
case studies and other interactive exercises, designed to enhance personal
and professional effectiveness in self-awareness, selfmanagement, social awareness and relationship management. Participants will complete the Emotional Competence Inventory, University Edition (ECI-U) the premier assessment instrument for use within academic settings, developed by Daniel Goleman and Richard Boyatzis. Insights from this selfassessment will clarify individual strengths and areas for development.

Everyone knows that leadership is more of an art than a science. The Dance of Leadership focuses on the art of leadership, employing material from art, music, and dance to discover new ways of sharpening one’s leadership skills. For anyone who wants to lead, whether in a small group, a community, a public, private, or non-profit organization, The Dance of Leadership will provide special insights into the art of leading others to achieve shared goals.

Dr. Robert Denhardt is Lincoln Professor of Leadership and Ethics and Director of the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University and a Past President of the American Society for Public Administration. Dr. Denhardt has published eighteen books and nearly a hundred articles in professional journals, primarily in the areas of leadership and organizational change.
